Thanks for spending time at Kel's Klass! This page brings my Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Disclosures together in one place so you can easily see how this blog and my TPT store work, what information is collected, and how I handle sponsored content and outside links. When you browse the Kel's Klass blog or purchase from the Kel's Klass Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) store, you're agreeing to everything on this page. If you don't agree with any part of it, please don't use the blog or store resources. I may update this page from time to time without notice, so the date at the top will always show the most recent version.
Terms of Use
Purchases
Anyone who purchases a product or service through my TPT store or through a personal consultation agrees to these terms and to the Terms and Conditions of Purchase that come with that specific product or service. If the two ever conflict, the Terms and Conditions of Purchase for that product are the ones that apply.
Community guidelines
Like any good classroom, this community works best when everyone follows a few simple rules. By using the Kel's Klass blog or TPT store, you agree to follow all applicable laws, to not use either one for any unlawful purpose, and to not:
- Post, email, or share content that infringes on anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights; that is defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, violent, or invasive of someone's privacy; that contains hate speech attacking or demeaning any group; or that reveals someone else's personal information (such as an email address, home address, phone number, or card information).
- Stalk, threaten, or harass anyone.
- Spam, use Kel's Klass for commercial activity, or gather market research for a competing business.
- Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
- Interfere with how the blog or store works, including through viruses, hacking, data mining, or attempts to access files, data, or passwords.
- Cover or block any advertisements or safety features, such as a "report abuse" button.
- Use robots, spiders, scrapers, or other automated tools to access the blog or store without my written permission. (Public search engines may index the public portions of the site solely to create searchable indexes, not caches or archives.)
- Do anything that places an unreasonable load on the site's technical infrastructure.
If you come across something that goes against these guidelines, please let me know and I'll review it.
Comments
Comments are always welcome! I moderate them to keep out spam, hate, and anything I consider inappropriate for an educational site. If I have a concern about something you've written, such as swearing, I'll reach out so you have the chance to edit it. It's perfectly fine to disagree with me, as long as you stay kind and professional and keep your comment related to the topic. I reserve the right to deny access to the blog or store, without notice, and to remove any content that doesn't follow these guidelines.
Age requirement
Kel's Klass is intended for people 13 years of age or older, and you must be at least 13 to sign up for my emails or take part in blog activities. If you're younger than 13, please review this page with a parent or guardian. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has shared personal information with me, please contact me right away.
Intellectual property and using my resources
Kel's Klass contains materials such as lesson plans, coursework, training modules, videos, photographs, text, graphics, images, and sound recordings created by me, Kelly Brown, or owned by third parties. These materials are protected by United States and international laws, and using them without permission may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws.
You're welcome to view anything publicly available on the blog for your own personal, non-commercial use. If you purchase a product from my TPT store, you may download it and use it for your own personal, non-commercial use. Kel's Klass keeps all intellectual property rights to its content, so you may not sell, transfer, license, modify, reproduce, publicly display or perform, create a different version of, or distribute any blog content or TPT purchase for public or commercial purposes. No Kel's Klass content may be retransmitted without my written permission for each instance. If you'd like to use something in another way, I'm happy to work with you, as long as Kel's Klass is credited when it's shared. Other company, product, and service names mentioned on the blog may be trademarks of their respective owners.
No warranties
The blog and TPT store may contain technical inaccuracies, typos, or omissions. I reserve the right to make changes, corrections, and improvements at any time without notice. If you spot an error, please let me know, and I'll fix it and repost the product in a timely manner.
Location and governing law
Kel's Klass is based in the United States, and I make no claims about whether its content is appropriate or available for use outside the United States. If you access it from another country, you do so at your own risk. The laws of the State of Indiana govern this agreement and any action related to it.
Copyright concerns (DMCA)
Kel's Klass respects the intellectual property rights of others and attempts to comply with all relevant laws. I will review every claim of copyright infringement I receive and remove any content, information, or products found to have been posted or distributed in violation of those laws.
Privacy Policy
What I collect and how it's used
Email list: When you sign up for my emails, your name and email address are collected by Flodesk, the third-party provider I use to manage my subscriber list and send emails. Flodesk may collect and process your data using industry-standard technologies to help monitor and improve my emails. You can read Flodesk's privacy policy here.
Payments: I don't collect any payments through the blog. Purchases from the Kel's Klass TPT store are processed by Teachers Pay Teachers through the payment method you choose in your TPT account.
Automatically collected data: When you interact with Kel's Klass, I may receive and store information such as your IP address, device ID, and activity on the blog or in the store. This information may be stored in databases owned and maintained by affiliates, agents, or service providers. I may use it, on its own or combined with other data, to track the number of visitors, referral sources, and product purchases.
Social media: If you interact with me through one of my social media accounts, such as Pinterest, you may share certain information available through that account, and you may give me permission to collect your information through those services.
Cookies: I use third-party analytics tools, like Google Analytics, that use cookies to understand how visitors use the site. These cookies don't store personal information; they simply identify your computer. You can disable cookies at any time in your browser or device settings.
Who your information is shared with
I do not sell your information. I may share your data with third parties in a few situations: during a business transfer; when you give me your consent; with agents, consultants, or companies I hire to provide services (such as a third-party payment processor); and when required by law, or when I believe in good faith that it's necessary to meet a legal obligation, protect my rights and property (including intellectual property), defend against legal liability, or protect the safety of users or others.
Anything you share voluntarily in public, such as a blog comment, may be seen, collected, and used by others. I can't be responsible for how others use information you choose to share this way.
Your choices
You're always welcome to contact me to find out what data, if any, I have about you; to change or correct it; to have it deleted; or to share any concern about how your data is used.
If you'd like to stop receiving my emails, just use the unsubscribe link or update your preferences at the bottom of any email. I kindly ask that you not mark messages as "spam," since that makes it harder for me to reach the people who do want to hear from me.

I'm not responsible for the content of those sites and make no representations about the accuracy of their materials. If you have concerns about a linked site, please contact that site's administrator. About my resources
I taught in the classroom for 15 years and now work as an instructional designer in higher education. The ideas I share and the products I create have been personally used or personally researched. Even so, there's no guarantee that any classroom management approach, planning idea, curriculum design, assignment, or other resource from Kel's Klass will work exactly the same way in your classroom or educational setting. The Kel's Klass blog and TPT store are meant for educational and inspirational purposes and should not replace what your administration or educational advisors require.
